First time, help please boot pump problem

Hi everyone,
i've only had my 2004 Z4 2.2i SE a week, when i came out of work to open boot the top of the left pump mechanisim broke off i ordered a part from BMW £39. However is this easy to fit? I am a male nurse so crap at d.i.y but to poor to pay labour costs! Any help appreciated,

Welcome to the forum. I take it you mean the strut which allows the boot to open smoothly....

Hi yes thats the one thanks, I ordered the part from BMW and clipped in really easy but feels like added stress? not sure if boot is open to much is that even possible? It cost £39.20 inclu vat, that website is ace but is there a uk one and allows ordering?
