First time ever driving with roof down

Caught a sunny morning here in London! Decided to put the roof down for the first time on the drive to work.

Wow! My head comes just over the top of the windscreen so the wind blows into it which feels great, the fresh air is awesome and the BMW heaters bizarrely manage to keep it a little warmer as well!

Absolutely loved driving with the roof down, amazing!

Do people drive with the windows up when the roof is down? I tried it and it means a lot less air rushing around the cabin.

I can't wait for summer

It is really trial and error Tommy to see what suits you the best. For me it depends how fast I am driving, so around the city I keep the windows down, but when out of the city and driving faster I prefer to have the Windows up.

The roof is always down when the skies are clear, regardless of temperature!

Widows up if its a bit too cold (<5*C) or going more than 50mph. Otherwise they're down!

Hi thats what the heater is for , at the moment its windows up a little bit too nippy .
Deffo worth getting a decent wind break they do work had one on my mx5
Cheers rog

Blimey! How tall are you? I'm 6'2 and nowhere close to being higher than the top of the screen.

Good to here another follower of open top life. 8)

Perfect sunny day again here in Cornwall. Took the Z to work today. Don't do that often. Then into the Garage on the way home, for Discs & Pads. £570, think I got a decent deal. :)

I find I need to have 3 hats when top downing. A woolly hat for when it's quite cold. 2 baseball caps for other times. A white one for when it's scorching or else your head gets too hot. A black one for other times as the black peak stops glare in bright sunlight. I really need a white one with black peak..... Can't believe I'm so anal....

I'm 5"10 but the seat is raised to the max I think, it's not quite right so will fiddle round with it for a better position today
