First Start in upgrading my stereo

The only thing that I would have liked when I bought my car 2nd hand was a better stereo,, as I have the standard stereo, the first thing I have done is to put a Alpine powered sub woofer in, the difference on just doing that alone is huge :D sounds so much better, this is because the standard speakers use 40% of their power to produce some sort of bass, would really reccomend this if you want a better much fuller sound.

I have also bought the Dension 300 to wire in to get my ipod connected, just waiting for better weather :(

The next thing is to buy the Alpine inline amp that is designed to go with the BMW unit and ugrade the speakers,, just saving the pennies to do it :D

The sub I fitted was this one,,

I put it behind the passenger seat, as low down as possible, It does mean the seat will not go quite as much back as it did by a couple of inches, but then has never been put back that far, so it was not a problem.

Intresting - and how does it connect up to the standard headunit? By splicing into existing speaker wire???

Mate i'm interested in doing something like this (see post in forum). How do you go about connecting this up? A guide for idiots would be ideal
