Just had my first service (Inspection I) at Wollaston BMW Northampton on my Z4C. £330 - and after a bit of haggling included a replacement front fog light which had misted up. I was initially told this was down to a "seal" - not covered by the BMW Approved Used warranty but would have been covered by the original 3 year manufacturer warranty which expired in March (apparently one warranty covers more than the other). I called BMW Customer Service and they suggested a "goodwill claim" was made and fair play to Wollaston they got this through and saved me £150.
They didn't manage to cure a squeaky driver's window - they couldn't find a fault but the minute I drove away and lowered the window it was squeaking like a mouse...again.. They also didn't clean the car - it was spotless outside anyway but a wash and vac inside would have been nice, and there were oily fingerprints on the (beige) doorcards.
They also quoted £42 to supply and fit new wiper blades - so I went to Halfords and got Bosch items for £22 and fitted myself in about 20 seconds...
Otherwise the service was good, polite staff, free courtesy car (116iS), called me 3 times with updates throughout the day.
The service guy reckoned an Inspection II would be around £500 but I suspect by that time I'll probably be looking at pads and discs too. First MOT due now and all this on top of new Pirelli rubber last week means its been an expensive month!
They also have three new shape Z4's in stock - very tempting, the new look is growing on me.... 8)
