Upto Daves garage at Tow Law for 9am with Doddsy to find his dead roof motor sitting in enough water to refloat the Titanic, but an hour later we were back on the road all cleaned and working.
My mate Peter joined us with his 911(pity Paul hadnt been up against him in that "M") and off to Middleton-Teesdale for tea stop.Suitably watered a brisk pace was set to Alston but the Porker with its newly re built engine (11K) decided to throw up an engine management light.A phone call to his garage told him to bring it in-possible sensor gone.
So the 2 not so quirky Z4 2.5si Sports carried on upto Hartside Cafe and back, then in beautifull sunshine over the moors to Allendale,Stanhope and home.Another great 124ml run.

Haway cherry mate
Great pics. Was impressed by the views when i trekked over to dave's for the roof motor and met urself.
Wish I could have stuck around for a thrash around the hills but had to get back off to liverpool and holland the next day sadly!
Bar the dodgy electrickery steering I thought the zed was truly in its element razzing up, down and over the hills- something i'm certainly missing in Holland :/
From that day....

Don't need me Mike - sure you can give him a run for his money . . . :D

I take it the roof motor was sorted then - another brilliant result from your mechanic - nice one

Sorry we couldn't meet up but as arranged, Steph and I took Sammyz (and wife) to Holy Island and we had a good three hours looking around then we did travel with them someways towards Liverpool and home via Blanchland and the Lord Crewe Arms. Not denying there was some enjoyable driving on the way . . . . all great fun. Glad you had a good day as well.

Was especially careful to give the M a good pressure wash all over after crossing to Lindisfarne - a few puddles on the causeway has got me paranoid.

Thanks for showing me around! I only drive the Z4 around Newcastle, so driving in the countryside on those epic roads was brilliant. :  :driving: I'll try and get out more with the North East owners as I'm itching to get back out on those roads haha

Great Zed viewin across the North.

And the Beetle broke down.  Hopefully it was just the sensor.
