Lovely day for it - weather good and a spare hour for a quick drive...
Had a new amp and speakers fitted and the dension fitted, so a test seemed appropriate.
I haven't had my new motor fitted yet, so roof down is a manual job (its so easy I have considered leaving it)
it really doesnt matter which engine size, what spec, getting your roof down completely transforms the day , the journey and your mood.
Minor irritations, daughter kerbed osf and it needed air - (that must have been a whack), dension fitter has done something to the heater in the center console - it seems to be fouling on something.
But- - i really dont think i will ever not own a convertible again -- they really are completely different. Hat on, heated seats on, heater blowing on low (so it dosent make a racket) at out to beacon fell and some fabulous roads and amazing countryside that you just cant experience the same way in a tin top (nothing against coupes here - horses for courses and all that )
The new speakers work well (will post some pics - he did a really nice job of replacing the back "holes" with some 6x9s and a 2 channel amp) and the dension is pretty good and shows the track name on the business radio display (although when using a memory stick - the lite only plays the playlists and you get very few menu options)
but all in all - a good day and a great drive out
