First proper day out enjoying my Zed

Having picked up my new pride and joy last Tuesday, then watched hubby take her off in the sunshine for three days running, today I've been out for two pleasant trips with my young son (while hubby stayed at home to do various DIY jobs). :driving:

The first of these trips involved parking (very gingerly!) in a field, and resulted in some fresh cowpat sprayed up the sills and on the 108s

All cleaned off now - must be the first time in years I've spent Sunday evening cleaning a car

Needless to say the driving, on a variety of roads, was most enjoyable: about 30 mile round trips both morning and afternoon to our two very different destinations. So pleased with the car choice we made, and that we jumped on this model when it came up - thanks again to the Forum for all the useful information here that helped us in our decision making (and continues to help us as we investigate the vagaries of the mysterious window behaviour, and ponder whether to ditch the run-flats, and so on).

Here's to many more happy days of motoring in the Zed :D

Hi and welcome.
Z4 in a field and you hit a fresh cowpat!
Take more notice in future :telloff:

Hi and thanks for the sage advice!

I was too busy worrying about my ground clearance and the general unevenness of the field to notice that some of the green bits were not just grass ... :slaphead:

Ditch those runflats you really won't regret it.

Great to hear you're enjoying the zed, Mirrie! Off roading in a zed is not for the faint hearted :D

Just been out in mine for the first time this year too it has reminded me I need to ditch my front run flats too but a good run anyway :D

Yes, I think having read all about it on here (and also having driven with them even a small amount on some badly ridged roads near where we live :( ), we will be ditching them eventually - just feel that we ought to use up some of the abundant tread that came with them first!
