First proper clean

Ive just had my 335 detailed in a little over five years. The local car wash bods and washes at BMW dealer service had given the Tanzanite blue the swirls I didn't want. The fella has done a full machine polish and wax, Interior, Glass, wheels for £90

It feels and smells like a new car again :thumbsup:
 
Its only the 335xd ! - I am going to get the Z done soon tho' - It's only ever had the dealer prep and an odd wax from new so it deserves a new coat of polish - Not that it has been neglected you understand - It is stored in a nice dry garage covered in two king sized cotton sheets thro the winter and overnight and only comes out April to October.

I thought £90 was ok as well. He didn't do under the bonnet but maybe Im expecting too much :rofl: One thing for certain is that all the local hand car wash swirls have now gone - they were embarrassing in the sunshine.

That's actually quite a long time for a detail. I did mine over 3 days and thought that was a long time. :)
 
Tanzanite blue is a lovely colour when sparkly and swirl free.
I’d say £90.00 is a very good price.

I‘m very pleased with the results - the car isn’t going to the local car wash bods again.

I have to say that this is the first car I’ve ever had professionally detailed - it won’t be last :thumbsup:
I think I will have both cars done each year from now on.
The Z will probably be done before hibernation? Or should It be when it comes out I springtime?

I must be lucky she does not care what I drive, her car is 4 x the cost of my zed so she really cant say jack to me about the ZED - the only thing I get is that its a posh car to which she gets the and your s cost 4 times more so what the hell you on about.

She won't drive it either so its bloody great :thumbsup:

My wife doesn’t care about my cars either! It’s my own indecision that keeps me awake wondering if I should trade up or not.

Mine won’t drive the Z either.
 
Now you know that the G29 is a great car and values on 35iS are strong so if you are going to do it now is the time - mind its still a great car if decide to keep it.

Yeah its the long bonnet and arse on the floor feeling :D
 
I‘ve just asked mine why she won’t drive ii and she says that she agrees, the long bonnet and arse on the floor! She’s happy enough as a passenger - unless I’m on the Autobahn :D

I’ve still got the idea of a G29 going around in my head - I would need a full specced up M40i a my current car has all the toys available at the time. I haven’t been on the BMW page for a while but I suspect circa £52k less my cars residual £‘s

It rained on the freshly waxed car last night and it was good to see the beading on the roof!

yep - she wants t drive something high up or a little higher up - she is quite happy as a passenger though.

Thats the issue £52k all up is a fair chunk and it is it any better than your car in reality?
 
That’s the crux of it !
And having to spend a chunk of £’s - but there again this life is not a dress rehearsal is if?
