Hi I've been a member since I bought my Z4 a month or so ago and have found the site very useful.

Here's my baby

Overall I love it but there are a few things that I don't like

1) The Sat Nav - It's rubbish
2) The Bridgestone Run Flats - There harsh and very loud
3) Having come from a 320d touring the practicality but I knew what I was getting into when I bought it!

Things I have changed so far are the number plates to a non dating plate and removed the dealer sticker from the rear windscreen.
Next on the list are the run flats and the sound system. It has the 10 speaker DSP system which I don't rate at all and I want a better way of integrating my IPhone than using the aux in and usb cig lighter option.
It also has nearly every option except Xenon's and until I got the dealer to retro fit it cruse control.

Oh yer its a 3.0si sport auto.

Nice motor. I agree the Sat Nav definition is crap, but it actually works OK. I have an updated (2012) disc that adds post-codes and speed cameras. Unlike on my 535, the speed camera warning is audible, even wirth the screen retracted, which is a bonus.

Also agree about the run-flats, but I'm too tight to change mine until they're worn down a bit more! Am looking forward to the day I can chuck them out.

Keep the aerial - don't listen to the stubby anoraks on this forum.

Do the Cruise yourself and save yourself £300. Takes less than an hour and costs £100 all-in.

:)

Got the dealer to do it before I bought the car and post face lift its not as simple as just adding the stork. Anyway it cost the dealer £480! LOL

great colour & choice of motor
NAV / doesn't bother me & was just a bonus when my car had it
RFT,s didn,t bother me until i switched to standard now no way would i go back
HI-FI / for the low miles i cover i find it more than ok
XENON,s / yes yes & yes .
CRUISE / not arsed for it but my car had it
enjoy the coupeness

Welcome - for iphone connectivity, look no further than the Intravee - especially as you have sat nav

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I do a lot of long distance drives so these things are bothering me but like I said overall I love it. The way you can just chuck it at a corner or roundabout and there's no fuss, just grips and go's. I've just got brave enough to start pushing it (in the right conditions) and have found the first bit of understeer that's letting you know that your on the edge and the back will brake away if you chuck it in a bit harder but i need to get on a track to safely get to know the real handling of the car. I've had BMW's since I was 22 including an m3 so I no that it has a fair bit to give. More than you can use on the road, well that's my thoughts.

I have been weighing up the Intravee vs the media bridge and the ash tray holder thing but not made my choice yet. also funds are limited at the moment.
