First post - sorry, a bit of a ramble...

Welcome - repetitive, but great first post, lovely motor

As for cupholders and coffee / cans... They fit just nice, personally I drink some, then when I stick it in the holder I make sure the drinking hole is facing forward - meaning acceleration doesn't spill it. Bumps may spill a little when full, but never happened to me. And I never drive fast enough to brake hard and spill it forwards. Honest

car looks swell mate  great colour whichever shade of grey it is :)

How many Shades of Grey are there anyway?

As for the cup holders, I buy bottles not cans and when I buy coffee I ask for a medium in a large cup to allow for sloshing without slopping

Enjoyed your post - I did your initial thought and bought a four pot 2.0 l M sport in the same colour and the same year but no heated seats - which I would love. Interesting to read your post - the four pot has a great exhaust note as well. You've made me want to get out and polish my car again - you're right they are impressive looking - I too love the rear three quarter view AND I am a founder member of the Mr Whippy Club (do a search). Great looking Zed - Enjoy! (Wish I'd done the research you did on the forum before buying my Zed - came to it after I'd bought - you live and learn but I should know better!)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Looks like sterling grey, but don't think the facelift came in this colour?

Well, embarrassingly, it isn't Sterling Grey after all. :? I think you are right in that the facelift didn't actually come in this colour. I looked up the VIN and this car is actually SILBERGRAU METALLIC, which I guess means silver-grey metallic. Probably enough chat about what colour grey it is now, hehe...

Thanks for the advice re. cup holders. They are cheap enough that I'll probably get one for the passenger side and experiement, which will mean three cup holders in total (one OEM + girlfriend).

Ah, that's interesting. Maybe the seats are optional after all. The four pot does sound good - I think I actually preferred the balance of engine vs. exhaust on the 2.0i over the 2.5si. Still can't believe I actually went out and bought it in the end... struggled to get to sleep for days beforehand!

Hi and welcome - lovely looking Zed there.

I have a 2.5Si - interested in your comments about mpg - I struggle to get better than high twenties in mine in mixed driving.

The cupholders are pretty poor IMO.

Is that high twenties as indicated by the OBC? I've only filled up a couple of times, but 31-32mpg on the OBC seems to equate to about 28mpg based on actual distance/fill.
