Had the phone call from the dealer last week to say our new car was arriving over the weekend, so after 12 years of driving an Audi Cabriolet, wifey has finally decided to change and picks up her new G29 Z4 on Valentines Day (saved me buying some roses!!). She’s not a complete speed demon (plus I’ll also need to use it on occasions for long journeys so want a bit of ‘comfort’) so we’ve gone for the sDrive 2.0i M Sport, although the 24 hours we spent with the M40i left a serious smile on my face.
A fan of German cars, we’ve had numerous VW’s, Audi’s, Mercs and a Porsche through the family, this will be the first BMW we’ll have ever owned. We’ve always had a ‘serious car’ and a ‘fun car’ and the Z4 is intended to be our fun car. Looking to get involved in some road trips. The NC500 has been on the agenda for some time and we own a property in Spain, where we often drive to/from and make a road trip of (Stelvio Pass last year after catching the ferry from Barcelona across to Genoa), although we may stick to the comfort of mine for those longer trips (and the luggage space, although particularly impressed with What’s on offer in the Z4 for a 2 seater roadster).
Interested in any and all tips and info that people want to pass on. Will post some pics after we’ve picked it up, but basically think of one that’s gone through a snow storm, inside and out, and it will give you some idea of what she’s gone for!!
