First pics of our lovely new Estoril E89

Is it possible he might have thought you meant the speakers behind the seats on the sides i.e. the mid range speakers rather than subwoofers?
again, if so he is thick. He stated in his advert it had the 'upgraded Hifi'. It doesn't, it has the basic 6 speakers. If you don't know don't 'upsell'!
He didn't know it has 'extended lighting', or 'extended storage'. I'm surprised he knew it was a BMW!

Please take this lightly……
Will you be changing your username to ‘Pond-behind-ew’?

Seriously, hope you get it all sorted ok.

That's far too clever! :D
I was actually thinking I could keep a couple of Goldfish in there earlier, would be a good talking point. I could take an air pump supply from anywhere nearby (as in the battery terminals are only 6 inches above).

Appreciate your frustration but once things are settled & hopefully the jobs are not too costly you know the enjoyment you will have with the e89 otherwise you wouldn’t have come back to one

Here’s to a topless summer

I’ve heard of battery hens but never battery fish 🤣

Can you fit a puddle light in the battery compartment?
Needs to be IP68 rated, but hey maybe will highlight the goldfish!

Estoril is a great colour. Feeling your pain tho pal. The future has to be bright(er); the future is blue! 😎

I haven't said the best part........

I am taking delivery of another BMW on Wednesday (another sight unseen one).....I can't wait!

This one is from a dealer so I phoned them this afternoon and told them in no uncertain terms that if it isn't as described (or as agreed) it will be sent straight back.

Takes the shine off it when something like that happens, still a nice car though... maybe an opportunity to fit some of those Chinese new rear smoked lights

Not really my thing TBH. My wife was not at all impressed with the 'chavvy' Type R (so much so she refused to go in it), I don't think anything 'smoked' would fill her with enthusiasm. :D

F31 tatty old 320i.

That's a bit unfair! My 2005 E90 330i Cat N really is a tatty old 3 Series, but I don't care. :D

At least you can return this one if it isn't as described, but I hope it is.

True. It is a little tatty, but what can you expect for £14,000 these days?
It does need a few (?!) cosmetic refurbishments to bring it up to scratch (no pun intended). You will be pleased to know Iain it has 'wood' though! :D

It was the best (read ONLY) petrol manual 3 series estate I could find with less than a million miles on it.

Is it not worth having forum rules amended, so you must have been a member for a given period of time and also contributed in a way that is acceptable? There are far too many 'new members' joining just to sell a car. "Hi I'm new here and selling a great car".

Just a thought to protect genuine members that want to uphold the ethos of the forum. An experience shared is a learning opportunity for others.

Just an idea.
