Well, got the car back safely. Won't be able to do much until weekend since I am on-call today.
Mostly reading the manual today I think.
Distance from curb was to protect alloys!
The road was cut away after single yellow line before the curb, so any closer would have been risky.
Interestingly a black z4 e85 was parked a few cars behind me here. (just off long acre, holborn)
Maybe try to take some moonlight photos tonight if there is any left.

I am jealous. Jealous jealous jealous.
My car is ready now. I guess they were on the same boat. Bloody typical that I am stacked out with work and can't collect it until Thursday. Grrrr. :x
I've planned a long weekend to enjoy my new toy. I can't wait. It is like the week before Christmas.
One question though - is the car as good as you thought it was going to be? I had a great drive in my 335d over the 'cat and fiddle' on my way back to Manchester last week. I think the car was saying goodbye to me in style, as it drove absolutely brilliantly. A biker gave me a thumbs up - I guess he noticed how much fun I was having. I've used lots of my daydreaming time thinking about the same journey with the roof down.
I'm intrigued to know what you're first impressions of it are. I'll post my thoughts and a few pics on Thursday!!!
PS - I have decided that I need a mini antenna. Where do they come from?
PPS - I am still unsure how the wood will look inside - I can't find any pics of real life interiors with my colour combo. I'm itching to see what I've done!!! Hehe.
