I finally decided to pull the trigger and change the alloys that came with the car which was the e46 m3 alloys. I bought a nice set of hyper silver csl reps i know some purists wount approve but including the cost of a new set of super sports it was hard to ignore. Also seeming i started on this slippery path i couldn't resist a set of H&R monotube coilovers all ready and set for sunday where i found a chap by the name of paul from the m3 cutters forum that is coming down to install for me. Now i just hope the weather holds out and doesn't p*ss down so i can give the car a good test. :D

nice!!! cant lie the H & R coil overs are a great price..... these are a great road coilover so should be nice and comfy yet offer you height adjust ability....

Can't wait to get them all fitted the H&R's price which was £1040 including delivery which done it for me. I will be trying to take as much pics as i can if its not chucking it down.

Very nice - look forward to the pics

Off topic.. what center speaker is that under your telly? Looks like a smaller version of the KEF eggs.

The speakers are KEF KHT2005.3 5.1 i bought it two years ago when i decided to replaster the room and decided to chisel out the wall to place the cables in them. Also behind the tv is a drainage pipe buried in the wall where all the cables for the amp and tv pass through which goes into the cupboard under the stairs to make it look more tidy.

I have a set of H&R coilovers on the way as my next mod, so I'm extremely interested in knowing all about your installation and setup experience. Please post photos of the install process and share any pertinent info regarding setup specs, issues and resolutions.

I will be trying to help along the install as im curious to see how difficult it is to install and also how to setup the ride hieghts as i have never adjusted a suspension.

Off topic... aquazi, it think yours is one of the nicest looking roadsters I've ever seen.

Thanks jrainlay - i think the wheels make the biggest impact... aside from that mine is just an M impersonator :ninja:

Sorry to keep you guys waiting couldn't resist taking the car out for drive. The chap arrived at 10am this morning and got started straight away. Removing all the old suspesion was a walk in the park for him without any issues whatso ever. Also fitting the new suspension was all good everything went together like clockwork and as he has done this stuff many times before it was second nature to him. I did not need anything else as the suspension was a direct swap i also havn't used any spacers for my new csl's and think they look great. A big thanks to paul great chap took him a total of 5hours to finish the whole job and cost me £160 which i think is a great service including the fact he came to me to install big thumbs up. I couldn't wait to get in the car and take it for a spin and boy i wasn't let down at all. The car rides very well and i have no complaints about ride comfort what so ever on smooth roads its very good on bumpy roads it is felt but not too harsh. Cornering well i approached a roundabout at a speed where i felt uncomfortable and would normally jab the brakes to slow down i thought screw it stop being a girl carried on with my foot slightly on throttle threw the car into the roundabout and the car stuck like glue the front end planted and went round without even the tyres squealing. Im amazed how well the car holds and how much more confidence i have in the car i know alot of people prefer the kw's but for the price of the H&R's they suit me just fine and worth every penny. Now i just need to learn how to launch the dam car ready for santa pod.

The car rides pretty much the same as standard i havn't really noticed much of a difference. Ive been over a few speed humps now i have to slow back into 1st and crawl over and its fine it won't scrape but i also tried going over them about 10mph and i heard it scrape a little.Im also very pleased with csl's they are much better than the e46 m3 alloys i had before.
