I brought my Z4 back in Feb. In April i first tried to correct the paintwork with my MAC DA polisher. After working my guts out i figured both the MAC and my polish/pad combo wasnt upto cutting the hard BMW paint.

Back to it anyway, here are the stages and products i used in each.

Alloys - EZ brush and very cherry
Wash 2BM with Britemax Clean Max (FANTASTIC STUFF!!)
APC with small brush for bugs
Tardis alloys and lower car.
Wash
Dry with Elite Ultra Plush Deep Pile Drying and Valet PRO Citrus Bling 4:1 mix
Clay with Valet PRO Citrus Bling 16:1 mix
Wash
Dry

As the MAC didnt seem upto the job on the BMW paint i brought a Silverline rotary poliser.

First Hit with Orange hex logic pad and Menzerna RD 3.02 This removed all but the most deep marks. I think next year when i correct again going to have to go even more aggressive and try some megs #105/#205

Refined with PO106 FA and White hex pad.

IPA wipe over car to remove polish residue and dusting.
Wax with Autoglym HD wax. First time ive used this, always been colly 476 before. HD wax seemed alot easier to apply and remove.

Tyres dressed with Zaino Z-16. Again another product ive never used.
exterior glass sealed with carlack glass sealant.

Not the best pictures from my HTC One x

Looks great, how easy did you find the Silverline rotary polisher to use? I had some hands on training with a Flex PE 14-2 150 Rotary Polisher yesterday, very nice to use and completely changed my perception of rotary polishers, expensive though.

Looks nice, but is that buffer trails I can see in the sun/reflection shots? You might want to go over it again with a polishing compound to remove those?

Silverline was good. ALOT better than my MAC DA polisher!

Not ever used an expensive rotary before so i cant compare....my £37 silverline wont be a match for that machine you talk about @ £400 :o

As i said though im finding the BMW really really hard. Even with one of Menzerna highest cut polishes RD3.02 i was struggling. TBH ive got off Menzerna stuff, the pads are awful and i dont think i will be buying any more of there products. Will give the Meguiar's compound/polish range a go next time.

No its because i needed to give the wax a quick shine again with a Shag Pile towel....once i looked at the photos/the car in the sunlight i noticed this too.

After a quick go over with a nice soft towel all was fine.
