First female driver to get in an F1 since De Villota

She's not too painful on the eyes at all... And I have no problem with women in motorsport - she must be quite handy behind the wheel to get that contract.

I'd love to see what lap times she was doing on the grand prix circuit vs last years times

She most certainly isnt

I also agree with you on the no probs with women in motorsport, I think it would be great to have a few females in F1! Out on track they would just be another racing driver, an all female team would be an interesting thing aswell to see how they calculated the pits intervals and tyres etc.

Do you think they'd be more aggressive for a short time each month though ? :D :fuelfire:

Would have thought the heels would pose a problem.

Also - manufacturers would have to design an area for holding the random tonne of makeup that makes up a typical handbag

Her maiden name was Stoddardt, and was a DTM driver, so she's got plenty of talent.

Some of it on show below...

So what are the stewards supposed to do when she turns the wrong way coming out of the pits.

Seriously though would be great to have some women in the driver’s seats of F1. Can imagine the car on the grid surrounded my male models in Tuxedo's. Volunteers?

I honestly can't think of a reason a gal can't drive any race car. Danica Patrick did Indy car for a while. Of course these day's. she is just above the Taliban in my estimation for having joined the red neck bumper car derby that is nascar. In case you can't tell. I really don't like nascar.

I think it's a bit of a publicity stunt. She's the wife of one of Williams major shareholders/owners. A load of fuss made and she'll never get anywhere near a real drive. I'm not doubting her ability but I think it would be good to see a woman do it properly - ie prove doubters wrong by doing well in GP3/2 and then moving up to F1. There's no reason why a woman can't make it in F1. Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember Davina Galicia in the late 70's making a few starts as an F1 driver for Hesketh/Surtees.

That is a worry. At least F1 cars are pushed backwards into their parking spaces... Probably with some increasingly irate shouts of "left hand down...down love... DOWN !!"

I would like to see a woman do well in F1..........

Who remember Michelle Mouton in an Audi quattro taking stages wins in group B..? Thats a lady with big spuds.
