First aid box - Removal

As the hinges on the original box have snapped, I've ordered a replacement .

Q.
How does the old box come out? I fitted a drivers side box and bracket last year but I cannot rememember where the bracket clips are - Its probably an age thing!
 
I tried a search on the forum without joy - asked the question via Google and was given the link back to the Forum!

Is it me not searching properly?
 
If you pull the box to the front of the car it should release its self from the holding bracket.
 
i also fitted 1 last year and i too have forgot, when your new 1 comes it will jog your memory
 
If I remember correctly there is some kind of clip which locks it in place on the top, between the bottom of the seat and the top; so you can't simply pull it out.

It you stick your hand inside the glove box and feel around at the top of it for the groove (will be in the center towards the front) and then push that up while pulling the box forward.
 
The new box arrived and it was so obvious! :oops:

There is a square button to push thro the aperture in the roof of the box. Push it in and pull the box forward.
