Finished my french roadtrip

A lot of miles added to the clock but a great holiday with loads of memories. Owning a roadster and not doing some driving over the water is criminal in my mind, so very glad i got to take her there for a an exteneded run this time.

I went Calais to La Rochelle, onto Bordeaux and then down to Carcassonne for a week. We stopped at the family house and some friends flew down to join us for lots of drinking and bbq's and beach time 8) . We then went up to Lyon and finished in Paris for a few days. I love Paris, its been a long time since i was there and to me it just wipes the floor with London in terms of culture and feel. A price of a coffee though, ooof :x

The car was absolutely flawless, and quite a few people stared at it like they'd never seen one before :D On the way back we got caught up in the Le mans traffic coming home. After a lot of driving i was quite burnt out and knew I was in no hurry to get to the port, so pootled along whilst the lambos, ferraris, a Z3MC, S2000's, Mustangs to name a few all haired past me. I did however have the last laugh as i sailed through the telepeage as they all qued in the credit card aisle and then got pulled over by the police that had been using hidden cameras up the road. If i hadnt been taking it easy i would never have seen the camera they set up.

heres a few pics in paris that i forced the reluctant missus to take

Great route, I was in Carcassonne last autumn, a beautiful part of France, we took a drive up to Andorra, through Ax-les-Thermes which was stunning, although I wasn't in the Z :(
Only 40 mins from the Med too makes it a great spot.

Agree with everything you say about Paris too.

How did you get that last photo, did you boot your missus out at the traffic lights and tell her to wait for you whilst you went "round the block" to pick her up :D

This must be the aftermath of the Gendarmes trap:

Yep left98204 thats pretty much it - i was determined to get a shot with the Arch in the background :D Carcassonne is very familier now as i've been down there about 7 times now. The house is about 20 mins east of there in a small village so a quite close to the med for a dip at Narbonne.

Raify im not suprised no one could see the camera, it was completely unmanned and all you could see was a big lense coming out of a bush. Funny thread title :D

Are they using laser with that or still radar? Just to make sure that, uh, the protection is ok ;)

Great photos. You are so lucky that your other half can take decent photos. Mine (ex) was photographically retarded. Missed so many good photo opportunities because she couldnt hold a camera straight or steady! :headbang:
