Hey guys, anyone know anything about the car in the link?

http://www.silverlinkspecialistcars.co.uk/stock/5523

I've got my dad heading to have a look at it today and if he says its in good nic I'm gunna head down at the weekend to have a look. What do you think? Seen a red on black coupe yesterday at a dealership and it looks great. Shame they want 28k for it!!!

Just looked at the add and it's now £23k.......... . There is a link in my signature with a check list for buying pre owned which may be of use when you go to look. Unusual to find a late model low mileage example like this not going through a dealer - worth asking the question and contacting the previous owner. Good luck.

Thanks for that Alan. My dad has just been on and says its in good condition although the leather on the seats look a little baggy. Im sure Ive seen a post on here about that being common.

looks ice but seems to have a fault with the roof, canvas is a strange body colour and looks a bit stiff :poke:
only kiddin- looks nice welcome to the forum

Leather in ///M's is softer than non ///M's and does seem more baggy as a result in some cars

Even on M sport seats in non M cars? Was not aware of that ( I did know we had the higher grade leather then the normal Z4s, but thought M sport seats would have been the same).

The baggy is only if you have had a heavy person stretching the leather - mine is still as tight as anything.

smiffi, where in newcastle are you from?

silverlink is just a small drive from mine, i might pop down to check that out (not buy)

Don't forget to check the usuals - 1200 mile service, etc....but looks like a nice one.

IIRC we have Nappa Leather which is smooth, none M's get Dakota leather which has a grain to it. Same on the E46. On the E46 (non M) you could order 'Futura' leather, which was a bit posher and felt like the Nappa you get in the M3.

mine is still as tight as anything.

Ooh er.
But I agree....Im at 35k and mines not baggy.

Rudd, I'm from Newcastle but live in Edinburgh. That's why I've had my old man look at it before I came down. Hopefully see it today!
