Finding Carbon Fibre Badge problem.

After having a look around for a set of Carbon Fibre look Badges I keep coming up with the problem of finding a right size badge for the bonnet. 70mm is the right size but all badges are listed at 73/74mm.

Also I want to make sure they are decent quality, but not cost the earth.

This one is a bit expensive at £999 for one badge ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/74-mm-BMW...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19df6834a6

Seriously, does anybody know of a link to a good ebay seller or have a contact for getting a good quality set in the right size.

I feel this will have been asked before but can’t find any links on the site.

Thanks for your help.

Ha ha ha, I went to the link and then looked at all his stuff for sale, most are reasonably priced, then I changed the search to most expensive, to see if it was an isolated incident. Nope, the guy has a lot of craaaaaazy prices, Bulgarian too. He's sold one, that's the thing, who in their right mind bought that, what a perfectly legal scam. Love the colour of your car dude but then I am biased.

mailto:[email protected] this is the guy you need

Yeah, this is the guy I used. The bonnet one is 70mm and comes with OEM long lugs so you can screw it on just like the one that's on there already. They are high quality and his service is fast/friendly, but the badge is just stuck over the OEM roundel so make sure it is stuck properly or water will get in and discolour it. Mine is starting to go yellow, but it has taken about 20 months to get to the point where I want to replace it, so not bad really.

He will send you a couple of PDF brochures with lots of other shiny stuff in as well if you ask

The price of the badge linked isn't a scam at all. He will have run out of stock so changes the price until he gets more in. This way people that aren't retarded don't buy them.

It's something to do with keeping it high up the results list when people search.

Says he has stock though :?

Perhaps he reels people in on eBay and then does the deal off the site to avoid fees...

Possibly.

Regarding the 73/74mm badges. They do fit the front bumper, but need a small amount cut from the rear with a dremel.

I bought the 73mm but only used the metal Carbon Badge without the surround. As i had the same problem finding one that would fit, loads of Blue Badges but no Carbon ones. Looks good though

Thanks for you help guys. Could do with a link in the how to section for "Badges" as so many want to do this.
