I have to say I get a bit fed up with the usual claims that some sellers are overpricing their cars - clearly some are but nobody is being forced to buy - at the end of the day you only get what you pay for - if you're lucky enough to find a real genuine bargain then well done - if you pay a bit more for a really good car it's well worth the extra in the long run particularly at the lower end of the market.

I understand it's obviously sensitive subject when valueing your pride and joy, but i do believe there's a difference between the perceived value of a car and the actual value, based on demand. Equally everyone on this forum has a vested interest in their fellow members cars being higher priced, and i hope to eventually be the same when i finallyown one..
As an example there are a few available, and have been others over the last few months - that i've looked at, are not perfect, and do not perfectly match my spec, but if they were at a price you can't ignore, id be interested. If they get no interest and don't sell, arguably the price is high even if it seems like a good deal - it's just not a good enough deal to sell! I think this applies even more with rarer more special interest cars, like the Z4M, as theres a reasonably small crowd of people interested in them.
I saw one on here, i think it was a roadster - that was priced around the 12.5k mark, and there were lots of suggestions it was too cheap - but it had high miles, and wasn't a top spec car - and took a long time to get any interest. I suspect the pricing scale isnt so linear with these cars and their potential buyers - as it's such a special car, if it doesnt tick all the boxes correctly, it just a non-starter.
