Finally take the plunge....

Well after a few test drives, I've finally taken the plunge today and purchased a 2012 Z4 20i M Sport in Black Sapphire with the red leather trim. Picking it up on Wednesday and cannot wait!

Just wanted to say I've enjoyed reading this forum over the last few weeks, whilst making my decision, and look forward to all the helpful advice moving forward. Drop box link below for the obligatory photos ;)

When I was driving this one today my girlfriend turned to me and said 'Are you going to giggle like a 5 year old permanently when driving this car?' to which I replied.. 'Its a distinct possibility and I seriously hope so!'....

I can see the next 3 days are going to be filled up with searching Google for various Z related topics, just to pass the time....

Welcome - lovely car, giggling is permanent :D

Are those front tyres as scrubbed on the sides as they look in the photo ? Hopefully being replaced by Wednesday if they are, fit for hooning

The school boy child in you will keep coming back each time you're hooning with the roof down :D

Still get that feeling after 12 months of ownership :D

I agree with gadget, I'd love to see more E89's at meets.....

I have had my car 2 years now, and it still makes me turn around and look back on it.....

The main thing I'm probably going to need some assistance on, is upgrading the speakers....at the moment it only has the basic system, which is rather lacklustre, I have some cash set aside to fix!

Do I try and go for a retro-fit BMW upgrade, or something totally different? Clearly the latter would give more options, but also need to take into account resale value and if this will devalue the car? Not that I plan to chop it in any time soon.

P.S. Just realised this thread probably belongs in the newbie forum ;)

Very nice looking car , I have had mine 18 months now and still every morning when I open the garage door I think 'thats amazing'

There is nothing really that OEM could do, so I would go aftermarket and have a specialist take look. Maybe an amp in the boot, some subs behind the seats and some more speakers in the doors and rear side panels
