after seeing nurmerous turbo's z4ms flop at the last hurdles... ones come alive..... the z4ms complex ecu/wiring setup means its very difficult to get these to run correctly.... but basar has done it, his car is bone stock with a turbo kit.... and WOW...... awesome....the sound of a boosted s54 sounds like heaven to me!! Even cooler im actually in turkey on the 15th of feb taking my GF for valentines holiday, im going to try and meet up with basar and get some detailed pics etc.....

did that have nitrous as well? What was all that piped stuff in the boot? So much power he couldn't keep it straight lol

I noticed in the picture of the engine bores the gap between the cylinder bores was almost non existent. Is that standard for M's ?

yup..... this engine and 100s others are running High hp on bone stock engines @600whp +, the stock rods let go after this point..... the s54 seems very well suited to boost, i have to hand it to the usa they really paved the way for turbo kits on the s54.....

yup..... this engine and 100s others are running High hp on bone stock engines @600whp +, the stock rods let go after this point..... the s54 seems very well suited to boost, i have to hand it to the usa they really paved the way for turbo kits on the s54.....

:? I'd worry about running a turbo at 3psi on a high compression engine like our S54 let alone 9 or 30.

Would be interesting to fit a 4 pot Cosworth turbo engine though, get your 420bhp and save the weight.

He's only running 6lbs of boost..... I'm running 8.5lbs..... My centri supercharger just loads the engine much more gently as boost builds with revs, turbos wallop the motor with high TQ ... Tq is what breaks things... I have no doubt the s54 could run in his current setup for a very long time , it's been proven by hpf who made a business on turbos kits for the s54. The s54 is a brilliant motor to FI, it's like Germany's 2jz :-)

Like with anything however their can be failures ...
