2006 Japanese imported Z4 3.0i Automatic with Sport Mode, 66,784 miles. MOT till June 2020 with no advisories. Olivin Metallic with New England Beige interior, green roof (100% working)
Japanese Export certificate present (Imported 2017) with partial service history from Japan, full UK service history - no expense has been spared!
Full book packs present (Japanese & English) 2 keys present.
Absolutely near pristine condition, being a Japanese import their is zero corrosion and underneath is stunningly clean (salt not used on roads in Japan).
Many extras from the factory some of which are quite rare in the UK.
M Sport suspension, heated leather seats, cup holders and folding tinted mirrors to name a few (Full list on request).
Run flats removed and 4 new tyres fitted, space saver spare and jack etc. in the boot.
This has been my Summer car (used April till September) and only been used on rain free days and has not been used in the Winter, it's been mothballed and stored in my garage hooked up to life support, hence the stunning condition it's in.
Because of it's history and condition I am looking for around £5250 or sensible offers.
Any questions and more information please don't hesitate to pm me.

Don't you have a thread for this already?

No that was a testing the water thread not an actual For Sale thread.

Ok. Strong money for an early model import but you never know. Might want to post an interior pic or 2 from the actual car though.

Best of luck with the sale.

I can't understand why this has not sold, apart from wanting top money for it I'm at a loss as to why (Feel free to comment).
Lol looks like I'll be keeping her over the Winter hibernated in the garage and see what Spring brings!

I'm guessing that you probably paid over the market value for the car from thecarwarehouse.co.uk who are notoriously pricey, so your expectations may be skewed slightly. It looks to be in cracking cosmetic condition and has a good spec.......... but there are issues which will narrow it's appeal,
  • It's an import. UK buyers are suspicious and some insurance companies don't like imports
  • Auto is great (I own autos) but the majority of Zed owners want manual
  • The green hood is 'unusual' and not to everybody's taste
  • If you have lurked here for a while you will know that a checkable history is really important, unfortunately a UK buyer cannot check HPI / accident history, or access a detailed MOT history prior to it's import in 2017. You cannot research ownership on forums (like this one) and crucially you only have part service history
  • They look OK but a lot of owners would look to change the 17" daisy wheels + the FN/S wheel looks well nibbled in the pics
  • The market is tricky at the moment and your car looks too expensive
  • Using 2017 dealer showroom images on the ebay listing raises eyebrows, you really need top notch current pictures at this price-point

If I was in your position I would invest in a full inspection report to reassure buyers about any previous body/paint repairs and mechanical condition, and take the time to translate and post all the known history. Get some better pictures and research the market for 3.0 auto prices.
There will be a buyer out there, good luck with the sale

Granted I paid top money for car but zero corrosion comes at a price, I know that when I sell on I will get no where near what I paid but at the same time I expect more money because of the overall near mint condition.

I've owned three Japanese imported cars and never had any issues insuring them or been subjected to loaded or increased premiums.

I accept that auto's are not for everyone, having said that in Sport mode it has absolutely blistering acceleration.

The colour and the interior is also not the usual boy racer style but more suited to someone my age (nearly 70) lol

Service history I accept is a minus but my mechanic of over 20 years has been over the car with a fine tooth comb and he has told me it's one of the best examples he's ever seen.

Regarding the alloys, the NSF has been curbed prior to importation, if I decide to keep it I will have them refurbished next Spring.

The dealer pics from 2017 are exactly what the car looks like now, I've only done 1000 miles since I bought it and only during the Summer months when it's dry, it's never been driven or used in wet weather since importation.

Thanks for your comments and what you've said is no surprise to me, I've more or less decided if I cannot get the price I want I will keep it and enjoy it.

It's obviously a great example that took some finding and suits you, so I'd keep it if I was in your shoes :driving:

Decided to keep it and bought a cover for it when it is stored over the Winter, I'm already looking forward to the Spring when I will use it again!

Finally managed to sell after getting a message out of the blue from my eBay listing, I got very close to my asking price so I'm very happy!
My BMW journey has not been what I expected, in the two and a bit years of ownership I've had three oil leaks - top valve cover, sump and oil filter housing seal.
The MAF and most of the induction pipework has been changed and recently the coolant expansion tank had to be changed.
My previous Summer toy was a Mercedes SLK and in four years of ownership all I had to do was yearly servicing and an air con recharge.
Maybe I was unlucky with the Zed but from lurking on this forum and others it would appear that a lot of other owners have had to do the same repairs and more, like water pump, roof motor and vanos issues to mention a few.
What I can say though is every time I drove the Zed it always put a smile on my face and I guess that is the main thing!
I'm now down to my Porsche Cayenne but I'm looking for an Audi TT Quattro so staying with the German 'Vorsprung Durch Technik'

Well I am the new owner of this car and I am well pleased with it. This was one occasion when the car matched the photos and description.
Steve was a pleasure to deal with and he described the car very well. There were no hidden surprises. This was good because I had to make a 450 mile round trip to pick her up and was relying on Steve to give me an accurate description. I wish him well with his search for an Audi.

The colour isn't to everyone's taste but I absolutely love it. I'm at the age where everything is beige, I listen to Radio 4 and I don't buy green bananas so the colour suits me

I've had a few TVR's over the years and although it hasn't got the V8 rumble it feels like a tradional British Sports car with its straight six and rear wheel drive. I'm going to look after it in the style it has become accustomed to and it's already in the garage on trickle charge. I'm looking forward to visiting this forum and helping where I can
