My mate came to visit us this weekend and left this morning with my zed ( We had agreed the sale several weeks ago ) The sun was shining and glinted off the immaculate paintwork as he drove off !!!!!!!!

Been looking around for a while since agreeing to sell - 350Z , TT quatro , Boxster S but keep comparing to the zed ! Seriously thinking about a z4 Coupe but my real love is with a roadster - found this advertised and thought it might be worth considering because you can have the best of both worlds - a metal roof and a open top - twice as much as I would normally pay for a toy but you only live once - love the colour but my ocd tells me the bonnet gap on the left looks wider than the right side and it seems incredibly low to the ground.

What do you think?

Tom means M sport, the one with a different set of bumpers and slightly different interior.

(But I can thoroughly recommend the 35i ;) )

Yes get the M Sport models, look so much better. Guessing the bonnet just hasn't been closed properly on it though.

Dont let the gap put you off a setting is all is needed unless it had a major shunt in which case you can easily confirm.

Love the Zed maybe not in red though guards red suits the boxster well in my opinion.

However its a vibrant colour and not as boring as the conservative colours I own.

Best of Luck

They look nicer in the sunshine!

I like red Z's!!! :D
I do too! I used to own a bonnet bulge RS2000 & a S14a 200sx both in red they polish up so nice :D I just had to put up with fading wing mirrors/rear spoiler so they kept me busy with the duster!

Car looks cool to me.

I have a 3.0i M Sport but can't say whether it's worth the extra outlay as the M Sport is the only Z4 I've ever driven. Perhaps a bit of a dull point to talk about fuel consumption but hey - we all have to fuel our cars and the stuff is damned expensive. The one thing that impresses me about the 3.0i is how little fuel it drinks for a car with such a torquey engine. I'm doing quite short(ish) journeys but am still getting around 36MPG and nearer 40MPG in the warmer weather. These are real world figures and even though I drive with a light right foot, I still find these figures mighty impressive.

Don't think there's owt wrong with it gov. Nearly took ours back to the dealer for the same reason. Just hadn't shut the bonnet right. It has a clip on both sides.

Agree with the above, the car looks great and the bonnet simply isnt closed properly, had the same with mine, though don't lean on it to close it, tried that and nearly dented it!

best solution it to completely open it then shut it again.

Reckon I'll have a mosey over to Winchester soon to have a look in the flesh - the colour is described as metallic crimson - would prefer the bright red but still looks good in the photos. Not sure about the M sport - its personal choice but the front bumper on the M looks a bit chavvy to me. If I'm honest I think the earlier version of the zed looks more like a sportscar should look but as I said its all personal choice - probably why I prefer a roadster to a coupe - read that BMW are no longer going to make a coupe version.

Agree with gov on the M Sport looks so I prefer the standard version. One bit of kit missing though is heated sports seats - I wouldn't have a zed without them
