Finally got wife approval....

Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum but have been using it for ages to get great advice for my E85...I will post pics now i've joined!

Anyway, I hadn't visited for a while then came across the fantastic deals on the E89, except I fear I may be too late to the party. The missus has caved and agreed that we can get a new 2.0 M sport (on the condition that we have any colour other than Alpine White which is a bit of a pi**er!).

I am in Kent and the offers around here don't seem to nearly stack up to the Halliwell Jones offer, has anyone in the South East managed to get a close deal from a local dealer? Also, I spoke to Halliwell Jones and they said that I would need to take delivery of a pre-made car before 31st March in order to get the offer, unfortunately the only car they could offer was loaded with a ton of options that I wouldn't want and was in a colour combo that would never get past the Wife, what has been the experience of other members here with securing these deals? Has everyone else had to take pre-April delivery? I appreciate that I may be on a hiding to nothing but I am desperate to pick up one of these deals as this kind of agreement comes only once in a very, very, very long while!

Any advice would be very gratefully received.

Hi and welcome......but puh-lease not another white e89, your wife is right, listen to her, something with imagination ergo Melbourne Red

Dont listen to her Bubaganoosh... she is on your wifes side and therefore the enemy

My dealer told me the car had to be ordered and registered by the end of March, but others on here have said that as long as its ordered by the end of March, then it can be delivered later...I assume they meant registered after March.

So it does vary, I dont know what the official line is!

The dark blue colour is stunning and would be my vote (even though I went for white!)

Hi and welcome :)

I was so close to order a white one but changed my mind and cancelled it :) having said that, I think Deep Sea Blue with M Kit looks brilliant ;)

the deal is for cars ordered before the end of March and registered by end of June (I don't know where did I see this, can't find it now)

Hi there,
As navid said the deal is for order by 31st march, and delivery by end of June. I was told this by two separate dealers, and I'm sure I read it somewhere as well. Our car is due to arrive the end of april, which could end up being may with the delays some have had.

Therefore you should have time to place an order.

Cheers

brown is the new white

and an improvement

I'm currently getting a Space Grey (not terribly evocative I know) Zed priced up with Red leather.

Hopefully this weekend I will have a look at a Midnight Blue as that is growing on me quite a bit now.

Have to admit I am very tempted by the Atacama yellow! What is the general consesus here? It's not your typical BMW colour and it would certainly make an impression, just not sure I'm enough of a posuer to not feel self concious driving one, also a bit of a target for the hairy knuckled numpties that can't even be trusted to carry a set of keys.

If you want to PM me .... I can let you have some details of a couple of dealers that I have been negotiating with for what I consider unbeatable deals ..... I'm just about to order this weekend having finalised a spec :)

I've ordered mine from Sytner because they are the closest dealer to me. I have had two cars from Halliwell Jones before. Sytner matched my part ex offer from Halliwell Jones and the £299 x 24 month deal on the Halliwell Jones website.

I think space grey and red leather do look good and is easy to maintain, however Deep Sea Blue is gorgeous when clean, unfortunately that doesn't last long :(
