After a long deliberation I got my alloys refurbed, dark metallic grey (BMW colour), no sign of cracks also! Did lie under the car at the weekend with pencils testing to see off I had the later versions as per Robbiz4's post, only to find that he meant 296's  Wheel wax them at the weekendwheels.jpg

Looks excellent, thanks for sharing! I will now be considering that colour for mine
Thanks :D, I was trying to find the Goldilocks zone, silver shows too much dirt / black shows too much brake dust! I wanted a change from silver and the funny thing is my mate turned round and said did I get the callipers done also, they were done a couple of years ago and I think they just blended in with the wheels, now they stand out.

I agree look fantastic. I had a nasty encounter with a kerb and the nearside rear alloy last week. I have been deliberating refurb colours and the metallic grey you have chosen looks great with the white car (same colour as my E89) . . . . . you have made my decision for me, im sold!

My niece bought a 5 series last year in Alpine white and I think the wheels are the same colour, need to check

I'd highly recommend some Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels as your coating, put it on mine when I first bought them and they clean up like brand new every wash, Its a ceramic coating claimed to last over 2 years, mines been on 6 months and still beads up like its freshly done
Wheels look great btw :)

Ta, I'll look into that

What’s the BMW colour code for that paint Rich?

Looks nice

Nice. I really should get mine done. It's just the thought of that dreaded first chip after the refurb.

I'll find out Peter, I got them done at mates rates so I didn't ask too many questions  I did wonder if it was orbit grey?

I'm dreading that terrifying crunching sound as you can hear them being ground away by the kerb. I did the front going through a McD drive through, just couldn't see the curbs on the narrow lane... Can relax as the guys that refurbed them are less than two miles from the house and are really good, I've had them do Porsche wheels in the past and they do repairs for the local Bentley garage.

worried about leaving the car in strange places after your experience  I was out and about and I saw a white e89 had to catch it up and check the plates
