Finally got myself a Z4 after 10months searching!!!

i live in Attleborough and work in Barford so i drive through Wymondham every day... will keep an eye out for a blue Z4M :driving:




pictures now added people... take a look and let me know what you think, personally i think i got an absolute bargain and was defo worth the extra hassle involved getting it from northern ireland and paying for ferry etc (split costs with a friend who came along for the hell of it for something to do as had the day off work, so all in all it only cost me about £250 all in to get it home, flights, petrol,ferry all included)

A 2.0 you say? With an after market exhaust?

Surprised nobody picked this up sooner as wasn't mentioned in the original post. OP, any ideas what the aftermarket exhaust is :)?
 
Is it cheaper to get an M front end than it is to replace those underwater foglights the facelift suffers from?
 
Exhaust - i assumed it was an aftermarket exhaust but i have no idea as not the most clued up on car mods (yet) whats easiest way to find out what it is? (will it have a brand name stamped/engraved on it somewhere)? - whatever it is.... it sounds good!

Leather roll hoops - at 1st from the pics i didn't like the idea of red hoops and much preferred the silver look (i thought they were red plastic from the 1st pics i saw).... BUT i have to admit after actually seeing them for real and realizing they were the full blown matching red leather i cant believe how much nicer they look than i expected, and i haven't seen them on ANY other Z4 ive looked at.... is this an optional extra not many went for or is it a private custom job?

Bumper - i really, REALLY wanted the M front bumper but assumed it would just be something i would have to pay through the nose for at a later date, so yet another thing that was perfect about this car from the moment i saw it. i also want quad exhausts with the rear M bumper but the money it looks like it would cost is just too high to justify i think, is the current rear bumper on this standard? it looks a bit "bigger/bulkier" to me which i like... or is it just because its white and my mind is tricking me??

Some exhaust will have a brand stamped on them, else we will never know :D either way it is an aftermarket one for sure and looks good, would be interesting to hear how it sounds as not many 2.0l have them!
 
That's a very tastefully modified car Jingle, and that exhaust should enhance the noise of your four pots considerably 8)

I don't think the hoops came as standard like that, and there are elements of the wind deflector inside the roll-hoops. Along with the M bumper I think the headlights are not standard for a 2008 car either - the inners would be silver, not black. Haven't spotted anything else yet :D
 
thanks for all the nice comments guys :)

and as for the added mods, in the original post from the seller it said stuff about it all being made to order direct from BMW as it is stands, when it was originally ordered (i thought maybe this was all part of the usual sales pitch). so its possible all the things like M bumper, red leather roll bar covers, lights were all originally done by BMW which would make sense (previous (2nd) owner said he made no changes, and the 1st owner was an older lady named Janet he said so couldn't really see her doing any mods herself...) if so then im even more lucky!
the more i find out about this car it appears i got even more of a rare find than what originally thought!! happy days :D
 
Welcome along Jingle. The zed looks class in white, the roll hoops add a lot to it too!! I don't know how you stayed so patient, but hats off it looks like it was worth it!

still loving my Zed!!! been browsing and seen a few things come up im not sure what they are (or i think i do, but need clarification)

could somebody explain what the below are and what benefits they bring? (sorry if there stupid questions lol)

CDV (Cluth Delay Valve???) whats the purpose of this and is it a good/easy mod??
sound gen mod?? (i have an aftermarket exhuast so would this matter??)
DISA replacement??
