Finally got my Z4

Well a full 48 hours later than the original handover date, ive finally got my Z4 SDrive23i M Sport. This wasnt the fault of BMW I might add.

So took a drive over from Hull to Sheffield this morning, through rush hour traffic - finally arriving at 10am.

Did the handover, the process of which was very slick and prepared. I dealt with Stuart McLagen who I would reccomend to anyone thinking of purchasing a used BMW from Sytner BMW of Sheffield. His advice was second to none, hes very understanding and couldnt do enough for us. Especielly liked the bottle of wine in the boot of the car - a nice touch.

Set off back to Hull after spending some time in Sheffield and the Z4 performed superbly, the sound is amazing, it handles perfectly and as far as I can see its extremley well put together. Some touches I like are the thicker steering wheel on m-sport versions, and also the electric seat bolster adjustment to change the amount of grip the seat gives the driver.

So on to the pics, well this is the car the Zed replaces and it will be missed, my 320Cd M sport edition convertible (styled by myself):

So to sum up, LOVE THE CAR! Sytner BMW Sheffield are fantastic and id like to thank Stuart McLagen again for helping my purchase my all time dream car, and I cant wait to have the roof down in summer!

Thanks for reading guys!

Thats the plus side of going to collect the new car from the dealer! My car was delivered, a 270 mile journey, and although the car had started the journey washed, polished and tidy, it arrived with brake dust and peppered with dead insects!

The only plus was I didnt have to negotiate Londons bus lanes!

Thanks all for kind comments - ive actually just written an e-mail to the dealer to express how much of a pleasure its been buying this car - nice to know there are some good ones out there.

Anyway look at the pics of me there - thats the face of a man who just wants to go drive his Z4 haha!

Congratulations mate, great looking car.

My handover wasn't as great, the deal etc was fine. My car was just driven around outside and in I jumped and went off. Declined all the explained detail of the car, that's half the fun for me, finding out for myself!!

the Z looks great mate  nice pics of the 3 series as well :) sure you will settle in here with that kind of shine :driving:

Nice mota... will soon be time to warm up those boots on a big hoon in the spring, though don't wait that long before u go topless

Enjoy

Glad you really enjoyed the experience & awesome looking zed you have  have fun :driving:

I love the handover bit, it just adds a little to the collection of your new pride & joy :)

Lovely looking Zed

I hate handovers, the Merc took 2 hours, like Stark I just want to sign on the dotted line, pay and go :poke:

Why wait till summer, I had my roof down this morning on route to work

Very nice! Enjoy the car

I'm up with Sytner tomorrow to drive the car I've put a deposit on and make a final decision on it. That's going to be an itchy week once I say yes :)
