So i finally received my Z4 (first BMW 
) that my mum delivered to me yesterday night in France after a 750 mile road trip... They had the hood down almost all the way, in the rain 
!
I've been nicely surprised with the car, i bought it not really knowing what the full spec was :roll: , so when i started looking over her, she's got xenons, auto wipers and lights (might be very common?), the sport button :evil: , tyre pressure sensors, folding side mirrors, wind deflector, gaptech... and i'm probably forgetting more !
So the first thing i did was change the whole interior to red
wich suits the black Z to perfection imo... sounds like a quick'ish' mod, but as the red leather was attatched to grey door cards and the seats had grey backs and plastics surrounds, we had to swap everything over to my original black plastics... and we also had to change the passenger seat recline motor/gearbox as that wasn't working on the new red seat either ! All in all it went really well and wasn't as hard as we expected ! I heard the leather strips on the door cards are a pain to get off, but we found that brut force did most of the work, nothing damaged either 
! And the motor change wasn't all that bad either, did that in about 30 mins once the seat was out to be honest !
And i changed the aerial... Pug stubby looks sooo much better with an OEM look and not at all bling !
Tomorow...
LHD rear tail light swap so it's a bit more symmetrical :wink:
Side repeater change to the clear ones
Aux input from fruity cables
And a damn good wash as it looks like shite after 750 miles of motorway and rain :thumbsdown:
