Finally got my Coupe! EDIT - New Wheels Fitted + Other Mods!

I would be jealous but I've got the same car in a slightly different blue so I can just support you made an excellent purchase

Car looks lovely... but then I wouldn't think anything else lol

Got mine about 4 weeks ago now... this is my first BMW, not sure I'd say people are more aggressive towards me or anything, but certainly I do find people expect me to put my foot down/ drive agressively and look suprised when I let them out at junctions etc.

Awesome car.

You always get some idiot who wants to race. I say idiot 'cus they must be to think they can keep up!

Does anyone have any ideas on my quiery about the iPhone snap in adaptor operating the iPod function through the sat nav screen? Is this possible or am I stuck with the aux cable?
Not all stereos are set up for full iPod integration! You will need to check first. The iPhone cradle is around £150 with music function, £100 without! Or you can buy a number of aftermarket modules, but make sure it is compatible with your iPhone as they changed the way it charges. iPhone 3 onwards uses 5v charging not 12v. I had this issue when I installed my iPhone dock in the ashtray. I had to buy an adapter the enable it to charge!

The genuine BMW iPhone cradle with music function you mention above, this will definately allow me to control the iPod function via the sat nav screen and the stereo /wheel controls? Even if it just skipping through songs on playlists?

If so does anyone have a part number for the adaptor for an iPhone 4?

Cheers

Tom

Hmmm that's not compatible with non I-Drive cars though ^

Does anyone know if my statement above is true?

Your right my apologies! There is a compatibility tab which shows which would suit your car.

Fitted my new wheels today, 19" CSL Reps from BM Autosport in Hyper Silver

Rear - 9" ET37 - 265/30/19 Falken FK452
Front - 8" ET34 - 235/35/19 " "

I'm really chuffed with them, they're friggin' hoooge! A couple of teaser pics as the car's dirty:

Nice sizes, they fill the arches nicely, as you can see there's a nice concave look on the rear. The colour is awesome, next to my Dad's 320d M-Sport they makes it's wheels look really dull!

I'll post some proper pics up at the weekend when the car's been cleaned.

The keen eyed of you will notice I've had the rear windows tinted, by Armorguard in the West Midlands, an excellent price and a quality job, would recommend them to anyone. Also fitted is a 6.5cm stubby aerial, and ZHP Gearknob.

Next up is a couple of niggly chips and marks to be sorted out, then a full paint correction to eradicate the swirls in the dark paintwork.

I'm so happy with it now!

Fantastic, was there much negotiation on the price? It's weird how the coupe's seem to cost that bit more than roadsters, I was really hoping examples like this would be around the 10k mark by the end of the year :(.

they are mate ! believe me :D
my tips are /
be prepared to travel
be persistent
don,t let mileage put you off / these cars can cover the distance & still look factory fresh
don,t try to get a tick in every box ( you could take forever to source what you want & price you want )
above all enjoy the chase ! its part of the ownership pleasure
