After months of agonising, talking to tyre fitters (putting me off) and talking to you guys (putting me back on?!?) - I finally swapped my run flats for Michelin PS2's!! Before I got my Z4 I suffered over 4 years with RFT's on my MINI's but never swapped them out - what a fool - Have only driven the car for about 25 miles but already the ride feels much better and from what people have told me they grip like a bi***!!
The guys who fitted them had a really hard time getting the Bridgestones off (took about 1.5hrs!) but am glad they did....... They reckoned I need to get the RFT system disabled by BMW but so far no problems
And the best bit they only cost me £520 fitted brand new......
What do I need to carry in the boot - I know I need some squirty tyre cream but is this enough or do I need a compressor??
Now of I could just find a solution to the acceleration judder I would love this car again
Thanks to all for the help and advice - if it wasn't for forums like this I would believed that RFT's were my only option.
PS - I now have one 255/35/18 and one 22/40/18 RFT both with excellent tread for sale - PM me for details
