Well after 4 hrs of driving to Winchester from Lancs with my dad as the chauffor to view it and seal the deal (the holding deposit had already been paid) I met a great seller who had certainly looked after the vehicle, bar a bit of peeling laquer on rear valance the car is mint, having had the service history maintained, a few minor probs sorted out, and the wheels refurbed (properly) at a cost of £400,he was selling due to personal reasons but it was very obvious he was very sad to see it go, a quick test drive proved the clincher.....
Remaining money paid, and off on our merry way for another 4 hr drive, him in his car, me in mine

with the hood down from there to the services in Warwickshire .... best 100 miles drive I have ever had, quick stop for a drink and the loo and back on my way (hood up now due to looming rain clouds) next 150 miles to home was spent enjoying a relaxing, thrilling ride, keeping mainly to lane 1 and letting others pass me by full in the knowledge that if I wanted to show them my rear end I could easily, having a 3l power plant has actually made me enjoy relaxed driving as I appreciate the power now, unlike with the Insignia I recently sold.
I'm sure I will have some fun over the coming days seeing how fast it actually is, but I have no plans of driving it like a loon.... gone are my boy racer days (im 34 now lol)
Anyway I will keep you guys posted on my progress...... but this is one happy bunny, cant stop grinning that its been the car I have been after for a good few yrs,and here I now am a proud owner.....
Only have these three pics to date as it was almost dusk when I got back and had tea ........
update....How do I upload pics direct to site or do you need external host?
