Finally acquired my very own e89!

Hey, frens!

So, years ago, when the Z4 e89 first came out, I saw one roll out of my town's BMW dealership. "WOW, what is THAT?!" My brother and I were BMW fanboys since our first one- his beautiful red E30, which was already 20ish years old when he got it. Perfect condition, though! I looked more into the e89 z4 and thought it would be huge. It's a BMW Supra :o too young and poor at the time though

Fast-forward fifteen long years. Your boy acquired some money! Lined up a new house with my very own garage  I went on the hunt for a pet car for my garage to spend time with- an e89 z4 at the top of the list(the list being only one car long, hehe).

After four solid months of searching religiously for "just the right deal," I found a brand new listing- no pictures of this had even been uploaded yet by the dealership! A true manual(not dct) 35i, 45k miles :| Immediately drove two hours to the location, went on a test drive, and bought. Mint condition, solid, garage kept, service records and oil changes every year. Is this a dream?!

Needless to say, super duper excited and happy to say hello 👋 my brother and I already ordered and installed the black Maxton ground effect splitter... things? Lol I don't know the real name. White exterior with the fairly rare walnut interior

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on finally getting a Z4.

A manual 35i seems to be quite rare too.

Thank you so much, guys! What a warm welcome 🤗

Today I wrapped the mirrors in carbon fiber wrap(I know, it's not as awesome as real carbon fiber, but I'm Zpoor, not Zrich! :P )

Just realized I forgot to post the picture :tumbleweed:

Matching carbon fibre racing stripes from bonnet to boot would look like very classy too.

I actually love that suggestion, coincidentally it's exactly what I had on my Saturn Sky Redline before I sold it 3 years ago! It was silver with black racing stripes I put on.

I have something special to do with the Z4, I'll keep you posted 😁
