Final Inspection`

It is that special wax, you know the type that makes your car invisible. I notice he treated the tyres as well. :D

This is the danger with obsessive detailers. They can polish to the point there is no car left

Yup, seen that happen in rare cases.

Can Zaino match P21S? No doubt P21S has great shine and depth, but I think it all depends upon where you live to determine if it is worth the effort. A cooler, northern climate and it may last awhile; live south of the Mason Dixon line, especially in the summer, and the P21S has baked off your car in a few short days, making you wonder if it was worth the effort in the prep.

On the other hand, a good prep followed by a couple layers of Z2 and a final spray of Z8 will produce a fairly deep shine and the protection base will last for months. Every couple weeks, after a wash, a quick spray of Z8 really restores the shine.

Some people like to detail frequently and for them, anything will make their car look good for a period of time largely dependent upon the conditions. Just remember that any good job is 90% prep work. The way I look at it, if I am going to invest hours into a great prep job, I want to make sure that I use a product that will last and inhibit my work from being compromised.

I live in Florida; it is very hot in the summer. There was a time when I would spend a half day every weekend cleaning and waxing the car with carnauba waxes and I tried many. The problem was, usually by Monday evening, the sun had melted the wax and now I had dust and pollen stuck in a goo. Sure, it wasn't totally obvious, but the shine was compromised. And even the afternoon monsoon was unable to wash the surface clean.

Zaino has eliminated all that. And Z8 gives me the carnauba look, but lasts longer than any carnauba in the sun. Still, I really think the bottom line is your climate, desired look, and the frequency you want to detail your Zed. Of the carnauba waxes, P21S is one of the best; tried it and still have at least half a jar in the garage, albeit, it is more than a few years old; just gave up on carnaubas when I experienced Zaino.
