Filthy E85 Gets A Winter Clean..

So I'm currently doing heavy mileage for work, 150 a day, most of which are on the m25 (the road that makes your car more filthy than any other).

The car was so dirty I washed every panel twice, bumpers three times, a few recent down-pours had cleaned it up a bit, but it was hanging. 100% the most dirty this car has ever been in my ownership.

I'm without a computer entirely right now (literally unboxing my new MacBook at the moment) so I've done all this from a phone and photobucket)

Befores (hard to capture on a silver car):

I've made a few very nice changes lately, as soon as I have my computer back I'll update the project thread, by to list a few:

Winter wheels are off at the powder coaters and proper winter tyres are here to be fitted Tuesday (thanks mr wilks) :-)
Cup holders have been sourced and fitted
New hand brake gaitor (mine was a bit worn)
New trim bits for the inside around the centre console (generally tidying it up)
Roof motor has been fully refurbed as it was dying off.

Private plate should be bought after Christmas, all comments/suggestions welcome :-)

A bit cold for this kind of work RJS but it has to be done - dare I say it - I think my Zed was filthier!!!

Bit of effort makes a big difference though BUT. . . .after a trip on the road its needing more work.

Never mind it reminds us how well the Zed can look when sorted - good work!

:driving:

Cheers Paul!

I'll hopefully update this tomorrow/Christmas eve with some proper pics on some lovely winter wheels, I can't wait to get them on. :D

I have a commute of 200 miles a day and mostly M4, A329M, M3, M25 and M23 so the total mayhem of road crap builds up and the Z gets more baths than an off duty swimming attendant.

Will post some before and after pics when I get back from a trip to Plymouth over Xmas.

Nice job. Those 224s look ace.

That's not dirty though - you can still see the bodywork!
