Nice job for tomorrow replace the seal on housing, usual leak on the N52 engine.

At mot they said oil leak, yes i know.
I put it off for a few years, but will sort tomorrow.

With bonnet up and looking passerby said "BMW with bonnet up, that's unusual.."
Looks straight forward....................last words.

The leak is subtle but enough to final wet the belly pan and make a mess.
I have yet to take the belly pan off and clean it.
First two pics before and after, so only a slight misting is evident.

Please excuse if you've already done it, but another seal I've had to replace on my N52 (blacktop) engine is the eccentric shaft sensor seal.
Easy job even for me.

Done so far the new crankcase cover with seal and servotronic motor seal, so all dry at the moment.
