Fifty shades of black

A quick one:

How many different shades of black were produced for the E85 in the UK market?

Can't seem to find that info anywhere! Thanks!

It looks like there were 4 choices for facelift cars.

Black Sapphire Metallic, Schwarz 2 which isn't metallic AFAIK, Carbon Black metallic which looks blue in bright light and Individual Ruby Black metallic which looks purplish in bright light.

Just beaten to it!

Carbon black (bluish)
Ruby black (reddish)
Sapphire black (sparkly)
Black 2 (aka Jet Black)

Night blue and Monaco Blue can also be mistaken for black dependent on the light.

Damn..probably wasn't a good idea to buy that black osf wing on Ebay without checking the actual shade.:ROFLMAO:
Mind you, it's scratched so will need a respray anyway...

Rubinschwarz-Metallic (S23)
Carbonschwarz-Metallic (416)
Saphirschwarz-Metallic (475)
Glanzschwarz/Schwarz2 (668)

The LCI brochure lists 668 Jet Black (non-metallic, which mine is), and the fancier 475 Black Sapphire (metallic).

The brochure doesn't show the BMW Individual options which Ruby Black definitely was, so maybe Carbon Black was too?

Thanks for all the replies folks. I finally got the correct colour code: Sapphire Black 475, so by a fluke I had bought the correct 2nd hand replacement wing😁
