Fifth gear or top gear,which is best. ?

At least 5th Gear actually have reviews you can take something from these days.
Top Gear is, imho, basically not a car show anymore. I look forward to new car reviews and group tests on 5th Gear more.
That said, Top Gear has it's moments, like supercars to the bridge in France etc... or reviews like the original Zonda C12 S vs Murcielago test (1st of new series back in 2001!?), but that is it I think.
5th Gear tests since then I have on my computer however, loads more!
And pre new series tests on my computer, plenty, ie, Tiff driving the 996 Turbo around Millbrooke, classic!
So 5th Gear is best imho, now. TG has it's moments, but has lost the plot a lot! Both have lots of pointless fluff I fast forward through though!

Agree with Mr Whippy - you can't really compare the two. One is a car show which occasionally attempts to emulate Top Gear and the other is an entertainment show about three old farts which occasionally features a car.
Doesn't mean I'm not counting the hours til the new TG starts though.

I'm gunna tell you how I feel. 
5th gear is so nerdy. That dorky guy they introduced a couple years back, you know the blonde one who knows f-all about cars and introduces each show with the chubby guy? What is he doing there? Hes not knowledgeable or funny, he doesn't know how to drive and he is not handsome, so its beyond me why he is there. I cant believe they kept him on another season.
IMO Vicki and Tiff are the only two that should stay. Maybe the chubby guy too if they give him a little more freedom. You can tell hes forced to read this dialog that was written by a 18 year old, with obnoxious slang and mannerisms.He looks so out of his comfort zone. To be fair the other skinny guy (dark hair) used to annoy me too, but is starting to come into his own with his little segments. Maybe give him another year to blossom.
That show needs a serious revamp though. They have such opportunity, but they always seem to blow it. 5 years ago, Tiff used to be so good at describing the cars - you could really get a feel for what a car was like. They dont use him enough anymore, and if they do its just for silly on-track malarky with Plato. 5th gear has been really disappointing these last 4 years or so.
Top gear on the other hand is... tops. Dont change a thing boys!
