If you're not watching it, you should. Very good fun. Some nice racing, plenty of passes and a bunch of gorgeous supercars battling it out. There are even Corvettes and Ford GT's to keep the Americans happy.
The championship is already 2 races in but there's 8 more to catch. The latest race was last Sunday at Silverstone were there was an Aston Martin 1-2 and a Nissan GTR 3rd. After some post race penalties were given though the race winning Aston was disqualified and the 2nd place Aston given a 15sec penalty. Meaning the Nissan came 1st, the 2nd place Aston remained in 2nd place (they had a good lead) and the 4th place Lamborghini Murcielago ended up in 3rd.
Still, ignoring this whole mess the race itself was pretty exciting. Next race is at Brno Circuit in the Czech Republic 21-23 May. The schedule goes like this for each weekend, Free practice and Pre-qualifying on Friday, qualifying sessions on Saturday, qualifying Race on Saturday and the Championship Race on Sunday afternoon. All are televised with commentary but even if you just watch the race on Sunday it's still very cool. In the UK it's on Bloomberg TV and Sky Sports and in the US on Bloomberg TV. The TV listings are here http://gt1world.com/gt1tv
And you can also watch the whole thing live from their website too! With commentary and everything. You can even replay the previous races. http://gt1world.com/gt1tv
Anyway they've definitely made a fan out of me and i cant wait for the next one. Thought you guys might be interested.
