Few pics of my Z4 - montego blue

I've had my Z4 for just over a week now, so decided it was time to sort out some of the little things that were annoying me. Being a 2.0i model, the car had the very small oval exhaust that looked pretty lost in the large cut-out. In addition, the tailpipe was a very dull colour and looked almost unfinished. With this in mind, I took the Z4 down to my local custom exhaust shop and had them make me up a stainless steel tailpipe. The tailpipe is larger than the original and fills the cut-out much better. I also took the opportunity to paint the brake calipers blue (couldn't believe how rusty they were for a car just over 12 months old!). Finally, I removed the Z4 badge from the rear and the 2.0i badges from the front wings to give the car a "cleaner" look. I have placed an order for the usual mangowalk 3" stubby aerial which will hopefully be here in a couple of weeks time. Thinking of maybe getting some spacers for the rear wheels and some aluminium pedals for the interior - anyone done this (pics/feedback etc?).

Anyway, here are a few pics to break up the boredom

Looks a lot better. I think that the existing 2.0 exhaust tip lets it down a little.

Plenty have done spacers (although I'm not a fan, preferring proper offset rims.)

Ebay is a good source for alloy pedal trims:

I modified these for mine (chopped the footrest to fit) and they fit on with small hex headed bolts and holes drilled in the metal pedal plates.

Thanks for the information/pictures - exactly what I was looking for

Scott, de-badge looks good. What paint did you use for the calipers? Did you de-grease or clean them up before you painted them?

Rear looks even better with the larger oval, did they just cut the original a few inches back and attach the larger pipe?

The colour is stunning anyway so you are working from a fantastic base

I debadged the sides on mine this week but left the rear as I wasn't sure, but your pic has now helped me to decide it has to go too

Lice looking car, love the colour, but not sure about the exhaust trim, bit of a funny shape IMO.

Cheers mate.

The paint came from Halfords (it's their own brand brake caliper paint). I gave the calipers a quick clean with an old rag, but didn't use any de-greasers etc. In relation to the tailpipe, yes, they cut the original pipe back a few inches and welded on the new pipe. Pretty effective for not a lot of £££

Another wee cheap addition 8) . Picked up a set of aluminium ///M pedals. For under £30 including delivery, I really can't complain
