CSL rims are definitely on the cards, I've got the clear 3rd brake light to go in as well when I get around to it, i just cant be bothered!

Very nice all the way 'round.

I don't think I've ever seen an 8 series. Very nice as well!

Cool car  I really want blank indicators on my rear lights... Has anyone done it or know if it is hard, have an 04 zed

You have to get hold of some new light clusters (got mine from the dealer...) then it is a straight swap for the old lights. Only complication is the small plastic french fry stuck on the lights - needs transferring over. Simple really :D

Hehe speaking of the french fry... i never bothered, i should get round to it at some stage as it dont think it looks quite right with a black one!

Any tips on doing it?

Take your time, it's only stuck on. Careful not to break the guide prong (piece of plastic the fits a corresponding hole in the light) off. Buy yourself some Trim tape or similar, clean the old tape off and stick it back on :)

How come you have a black one?

Just thought I'd take some time and have a look over my old thread. I still haven't changed the french fries over but do plan to very soon - will I have to take the lights out first do you think?

Since these pictures, I have had some more new wheels, only really temporary mind as I do want some genuine CSL wheels or 108's I think.

It's really the only picture I have of the new wheels, really should take some more when it is clean as I also have the clear 3rd brake light in now. Which is only because I got rear ended in March, and I asked BMW to fit my clear one instead of replace the broken one with a new red one. They charged for a new brake light too - and never gave me the replacement. Naughty.

Wheels were purchased when I needed new tyres last, £300 and had 4 new tyres on so at the time it was a no brainer to swap, as I got rid of the old ones for near to that.

Anyway, it's just had it's inspection two and needed new suspension bushes and other things - I blame the speed bumps on the way to work but it is running brilliantly and I am enjoying every single one of the 30k miles per year I am doing in it  :driving:

Ideally, I'd love an M front bumper and a new exhaust that makes the car sound a bit sportier. I had a Boxster with the sports exhaust on as a courtesy car when mine was being repaired and I felt that it sounded just like this sort of car should sound. I'd love to lower it but I'd never be able to get into work then.

Clear facelift front lights would be nice but unfortunately I've had it a year, insurance, warranty, MOT, tax etc all due, as well as 2 rear tyres means that most of this will have to wait!

Only comment I will make on the wheels is that being replicas, they aren't staggered and I think that staggered wheels would make it handle a little better. So the hunt is on.

108's are finally present. CSL rims were made of butter I think! They certainly weren't round when they came off the car!!!

Sorted the headlight seals out, just got to get around to drying them out now and get some centre caps. Then I'm fairly happy.

Love the stance with the 108's and eibachs.
