Few issues

Hello to all, I've had a few issues recently with the car I'll list them to see if I can find any answers

First one is the steering seems to wonder a little bit when im driving it and more noticeable around 70 miles an hour and letting the gas off.

2nd is there is a knock coming from the back of the car which I seem to think is the boot it seems slightly lose when you press on it... oh is there a know issue you guys know about.

3rd is there is a knock/clunk from behind the middle of the dashboard.

4th is a creaking sound behind the passenger seat area at the top.

5th is the car used to throw you back more after each gear change almost like the car had boost if that makes sense, but no longer seems to be as noticeable.
Might sound stupid but I've completely change the height, angle and position of the seat. Could this have changed the way it feels drive wise.. as in.. the seats not moving anywhere due to it being fully up against the rear structure

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance my fellow Z4'ians

Which Z4?

You need to check the tyre pressures. What tyres are on the car?
The bushes need checked.

Is the seat back too far.
Anything loose in the boot?

Reset the adaptive throttle.
Get an alignment check done after the tyres and bushes have been checked.

If the car was throwing you back in your seat is that not perhaps your driving style?

Yes, maybe the 'throwing back' was more a function of how your feet were coming off the clutch and on the throttle.
Moving the seat forward or back can completely change the angle of your leg and foot and the way you interact with the pedals.

Clunk from behind the dash might be the diagonal cross braces in the engine bay - check the fixings are tight

Check out the bushes and ball joints regarding the steering, worn items here could be the cause of it wandering when comming off the gas. Check the tyre pressures first to see if that makes any difference before buying parts.

When you are under the back it is also worth having a good look at the subframe and diff carrier bushes. Mine clonks a bit on rough / unmade roads and although it had recently passed the mot test, my indy garage (West 3 in Acton) found all of the above well past their best. I saw a video of them moving sideways when under power on the lift. Now awaiting replacement when lockdown ends. The other usual culprits front and back had been changed a year ago when I bought the car. Mileage now just about 80k. Just a thought.

Neither  night shift overtime
So the rear Boot gas struts where worn and also the rubber adjusters needed screwing out to stop play when the boot was closed

The front was due to the same issue and the rubber adjusters needed to screwing out to stop play when the bonnet was shut

Also the brace struts needed tightening

The car felt sluggish due to the p1002 intermitment code that kept appearing.. i removed the 2 solenoids at the front of the engine bay and clened them up and reisnstalled, not fault and the car now pulls as it should.

The play at the front is the wishbone bushes having play in them which is a common fault apparently?? Which is causing the car to wonder slightly.
