Ferrari Badges?

Now I know the whole badge debate got out of hand last week, so please no referring to any BMW badges (as that divides us).

Yesterday I was driving down the A38 in birmingham when I saw a very "chavvy" looking black subaru impreza, huge exhaust, tints, you know the type I mean.

To my surprise, I went to overtake, and saw that on the front wing, under the indicators, were FERRARI badges! Through sheer disbelief, I decided to slow down, go around the back and check the other side, and sure enough, another Ferrari badge!

Is this acceptable? That is, badges from another manufacturer on a car, Ferrari on a Subaru or maybe TRD on a Nissan?

My input on this matter is covered pretty much by my two favourite Austrailians, Marty and Moog.

there is also a Smart Crossblade (think a smart, but missing a lot of pannels) that has had a few 'ferrari' additions to it.

The owner has put a lot of work and money into the engine, and considering how light the car is, it literally does fly.

Even though with that said I do disagree with the ferrari badges.

I kind of like it ..
Red Calipers...
Even a Prancing Horse on the grill !
Sweet!

Bumpy

i think this depends on the car they are on tbh, the smart car above looks great imho and you can tell time and work has gone into it and its probably quite fast.

i think this changes when you see crap cars that are clearly not fast nor nice. thats when it turns the owner into some idiotic moron who deserves to be smashed of the road!

Probably increases his chances of impressing some drunken bimbo outside a club.
Seems a bit sad
Scorp.

To me there is a difference in how you use badges on your car. If you're putting ferrari-badges on a Smart (or even a Zed), do you really think people will believe it's a Ferrari? I don't mind these badges, it's clearly a fan of Ferrari and not afraid to show it. Somehow I respect that.

It's different when (like I have seen this morning) you are putting an AMG badge on an old C-class merc diesel... (I'm trying not to mention an M-badge on a non-M car, furthermore because I've done it myself :fuelfire: )

he has a Ferrari badge on his Subaru/Smart/Micra....
so what?

Its still worth a conversation.

That crossbalde has a fair few fans (myself included)...smart forum discussions always seem to get interesting when that car specifically is mentioned.

What about putting Smart badges on a ferrari?

Regardless of manufacturer I think it's silly, that said putting the ferrari badges on a smart car is more acceptable (imo) as it's clearly supposed to be humourous/ satirical rather than "this is a genuine ferrari....honest guv".

I don't like it,
But if the owners happy hay-ho.

We could say that wearing double denim is a massive wrong, but 100's of people do it.

When I drove down to Monaco (Topgear style!) I saw a smart car with Ferrari badges on the front and back, and they looked perfect! ... so the owner must have spent a bit of money doing it.

It actually looked pretty good, when I work out how to upload pics on here I will show you.

... and hello! I just bought a Z4 3.0 manual in stirling silver this past weekend, and I can't stop smiling!!!

Whilst I do appreciate the Smart car, its still not a Ferrari.

Indeed an audi that understeers less than most. Strange car to put BM badges on. At least there are no M badges on it.
