Ferrari 250 GTO *edited

Like a few of us on here I’ve not been 100% happy with my quad exhaust conversion, so I have been researching and speaking to various exhaust specialists around the country.

To cut a long story short I found one based by Nottingham and after a running through the current problems and options I have just dropped off the Z to have the new system fitted.

When I was there a couple of weeks ago I knew I was at the right place as they had a DB5 and an couple of Caterham’s there also having new systems fitted - But when I dropped my car off today I was blown away with what they are currently working on - a Ferrari 250 GTO (owned by the JCB chairman)

It’s just had a new paintjob which cost over £10,000 - On closer inspection I noticed a few chips on the panels, also the wheels marked – wait for it... This was purposely done after the respray to give it an authentic look :o Awesome...

Just awesome, what a bit of motoring history, have you stopped drawling yet :)

This is in my top ten list. Beautiful lines.

That is a bad colour scheme for a Ferrari though.

Agree - Although he has had it painted this colour scheme just for a rally he will be doing in some forest in france in 2 weeks time.

Its going to be re-done in red or black when it comes back.

Sounds like my g/f and her hair colouring...

Beautiful - AND it's going be used properly, not tucked away in a hermetically sealed garage... Hope he keeps it away from the actual trees :o

Hi ranski, that must have been something to see in the metal.
Gorgeous car design

Out of interest, what don't you like about your quad conversion? And what is this exhaust company doing to fix?

The quads that i had fitted some months back have developed a drone, much more than when it was first fitted - there is no damage to the system so it just must have 'bed-in' this way

Yes, this place are going to design and build a new single muffler/silencer from scratch that will be chambered - The current mufflers are quite small and 'off the shelf' and with that are not capable of deadening much noise.

I should be getting it back on Wednesday so will report back, but with the sort of cars they work on and from the time they took to detail the process it will be much better than the current system

You live and you learn

Drone at cruising speed can be frustrating/tiresome, I've experienced this before with aftermarket exhausts.
Hope it works out mate

Yes, a recent 700 mile round trip to Scotland confirmed that :?

Are you toying with something along these lines as jonnymito had done, as this is currently my favourite option for when I when I am finally in a position to have my conversion done.
Very interested to see the finished article.
