There I was in the local shop waiting to pay and standing behind what looked like one of those Desperate Dan type rugby players - made me look weedy and I'm 6'7" ( albeit old - come to think of it I probably do look weedy anyway ) Then he turns round to me and is obviously going to say something - at this point I think may be I've inadvertently stepped on his heel or something and I'm about to spend the next hour or two in A&E and then his face changes and he growls " nice bit of kit mate " - apparently he saw me pull up in my Z4 . After the initial relief I felt really chuffed - its the first time someone's commented on my car .

a bloke at the petrol garage this morning said he liked my wheels , i was going to return the compliment but he was driving a 1960's Citroen 2CV so i just said cheers :driving:

Pulled up outside a shop the other day and some bloke said "nice, what kind of car is that". I was so suprise I just said "thanks" and walked by him, totally forgot to tell him its a z4 coupe :tumbleweed:

I guess none of you guys have ever heard "nice car love, get your tits out"
Bet they wouldn't have wanted me to get them out if i'd gotten out of a Nissan Micra!

I'll try that when I next see a Z4 although there's a fair chance I'll be arrested !

always nice to hear possitive comments, I tend to get lots of "nice car mate, does it drive as good as it looks" type comments from strangers.

Although I did get a couple of negative comments from hoodies when I had my roadster if I had the top down.

Last sunday I was just finishing washing my Z4, I was crouched at the back drying the wheels and two young lads walked past the front (couldnt see me) and I heard one say 'that car is well ace'. I was really chuffed 8)

One of the best comments I ever had was when I was in my early twenties and had the good fortune of having enough dosh to only afford a new Cosworth (as well as insure it) but also to stay in some very nice hotels. I arrived at Gleneagles, two conciege greeted me, opened the doors took the luggage. As I was checking in I heard the younger one say to the older one - "what car is this ?", the reply........"lad, this is we flying machine".

I was called a poser today by a girl at work as I was leaving work and she was heading for the bus ( I had the roof down) I asked her if she wanted a lift, she immediatly smiled and said "Oh yes please" so I replied, Well, you have been great at work today and a true inspiration to us all" ..smiled at her and drove off..

I know I am gonna pay tomorrow but it was worth it.

I picked my 7 year old lad up from school on the day I took delivery of the Z4MC.

"Cool car Dad. Now I'm going to be the coolest kid in school...!"

Priceless

My feel good factor is zero at the moment, car is in the garage for the N52 HVA's problem :headbang:

Going to work one sunny morning in my elise and I get slowed in traffic. Cue a minibus full of teenage girls pulling alongside me. The amount of whistles and comments I got was frankly embarressing.
That day I had an insight into what it was like to be a woman in a convertible...
