So just recieved cheque today for road tax fund from DVLA after selling the old Z4, slightly more than I thought it would be so I'm thinking that's good!
They've only gone and missed that the Reg Number was transferred before the car was sold and refunded the tax on the Alpina!
Both Silver BMW Z4 so not picked up by the person doing the refund!
Never mind, at least the guy that bought the 2.5 can claim he's owned an Alpina for a few days! :headbang: :headbang:

Stage 1: Transfer private Reg from 2.5 onto retention.
Stage 2 : Put private Reg onto the Alpina
Stage 3 : Sell 2.5 couple of days later and return V5 alone with copy of online paperwork of Reg transfers.
Stage 4 : Recieved new V5 with correct private Reg on.
All good up yo there.

Stage 5: Receive refund for Road Tax on wrong car so phone DVLA (30mins at 13p per min :headbang: )
Oops sorry sir we've transferred ownership of the wrong car, you'll need to cash the cheque, re tax the new car and we'll reverse the paperwork and get it sorted! We haven't noticed because both car are some colour and model!

That’s added a couple of owners onto the V5 for you

Just glad I checked, if the cheque value had been closer to what I was expecting I might not have noticed and been driving around untaxed! At least now my tax and insurance renewal won't be due in the same month!

I would be making sure that doesn't happen. Or asking them to cover the lowering of the vehicle's value.

That could've caused serious legal issue's for you and the buyer of your 2.5/alpina wannabe :o

Surprised they've let this happen tbh. Imagine trying to explain the story to a jobsworth police officer.
