Feature request

Having trouble getting the "more smiles" to show up in the quickreply window. When I click on them in the separate window it brings me back to the quickreply but does not add the txt for the emoticon to the post. Luckily I know the txt of most of the ones I use, so not a huge deal for me, but possibly could frustrate some newbies. :headbang:

BTW, you now have the facility to embed youtube content... the youtube URL is as follows

Code: 
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC_FKQleCX8

To embed youtube content, use the youtube button on the posting screen to post the section after "v="

So, you end up with:

[YOUTUBE]aC_FKQleCX8[/YOUTUBE]

Example

Having the same problem, seems to be hit or miss on my end. Using XP with IE7, nothing extraordinary, and I haven't tried Firefox yet, will give that a go later today and report back.

I'm on XP/Firefox... seems fine... in the short term I may take off the link to "more smileys" on the quick reply, then put it back once it is fixed.
 
:scratchhead: Mine seems to work occasionally with IE, and this is a test post with Firefox :brucelee: to see if there is any difference in browsers. So far Firefox is allowing the "more smilies" part to be added in without problems :idunno: Hmmm, may be something to research at the phpBB site for a possible fix. :paper:

I would say that Firefox works okay and that IE is the culprit based on this little test :hattip:

Is there an option to have more than 15 posts per page that I'm missing? If not, it would be a helpful option to view 15/25/50/100 posts per page, rather than hitting next all the time (yes, I'm really that lazy :P ).

Also, just an observation that the user info on the left-hand side (where the name, avatar, etc.) seems to be set a percentage of the width now instead of a fixed width. Not a huge deal, but it adds a lot of empty white space that I think would be better served for the posts themselves.

Some interesting points there... I'm absolutely shattered right now and really need some sleep, but I'll take a look tomorrow and see what I can do... goodnight :D
 
I have looked into it and it is possible... I will add it to my list of "to do's", but it's not going to get done tonight, it's been a mad day at work and I'm having the evening off ;)

Hmmmm - I'm still having problems with this, I have to input the code manually. It used to work more often than not, but now it doesn't at all. I have some problems with running java applets sometimes, does this work on a similar basis?
 
on the main forum page, i wish the forums(different sections) with new posts is highlighted or is different color. I always see it "yellow highlighted" but no new thread or posts.

mm, not sure what you mean... if it is highlighted in yellow it means there are unread posts. Do you mean you want a different icon if there are new threads as opposed to unread content? Not sure this is possible... if it is I will try to do it, but never heard of this before on othe forums.

Keep meaning to ask, when are you going to produce a PDA version, so I can stay of the forum when in the smallest room of the house. :wink:

It works but the bar down the side makes it difficult to read.
