Hey guys just a little info to pass along. I just sold my Z4 and along with the selling negotiations I remarked how pristine the car was and how all maintenance was done according to schedule. I then offered that the car had never been in a accident and how I was the second owner. I even pressured the buyer to check (****)Fax himself to back up my honesty and integrity. Well to make a long story short, the Z4 had indeed been in a small accident involving the right rear passenger side and I was the third owner not the second. I was pretty embarassed when I was shown the report. He still bought the car but I felt somewhat like he might of thought I was a slick willy. I am still looking for my original (****)Fax, but a visit to their site shows in the fine print they are only responsible for a year after purchase for inaccuracies. I guess the moral of the story is there can be inaccuracies in the report and maybe it is a good thing to recheck the report before you sell your car. May everyone have a very Merry Christmas!!!

I actually create a pdf of everything that i do with the car. I've got the original advert, the carfax, all the sales stuff, the maintenance records, the BMW report of what's in it and what's been done to it, a decoding of the codes for the bmw maintenance. Well, you get the picture. Hell, I even unprotected the copy of the manual that i found on the internet and stuck it in too.
what is this crap. I heard you knifed the guy for looking at you funny. How can you know his blood type by tasting the blood from your blade. And threatening his mother, brothers, etc is not investigating his family tree!20ducks said:Ya wanna know research? JBZ4, did you get another Z, or another BMW? What are you driving now?
I sold the Z4 and hopefully I can wait until spring to find another, but I have already started looking. I am still driving the Element as the Z4 was the theraphy car (cheaper than a shrink and worked instantly, although the IRS would not let me take a deduction on it). I still have a pristine hardtop if anyone wants one! Merry Christmas, JBZ4
