Many people probably dont know why they do it.

it is for fear of cloning.

Thieves nick an car, find another identical car that isnt registered as nicked then give the nicked car the 'clean' cars plates.

Means the nicked car will not ping up on ANPR as hot

Yep, it's to avoid letting the cloners become too lazy. They could easily walk along the street and look for a car they want to clone, or they could sit online and do it LOL. I'm not fussed about mine as I guess someone would rather clone a normal plate rather than a private plate...

Lucy, this is not a photo competition but it would be interesting to know which is your favourite pic on here so far, you can't pick your own hehe
 
This is a tough one cos I seem to have a lot of pictures of my car here and there. I think one of my absolute favourites tho is this shot from my Max feature at Spa/'Ring. Love the lighting and the way it shows up all the lines in the car, and the reflection in the floor etc... The guy who took the picture was just brilliant. Looks like it's straight out of a brochure or something...

That's absolutely superb lighting in that pic, that's the difference between a pro and an amateur photographer. Amazing pic!

I think this one is really good...the bonnet looks MAHOOSIVE.......! combined with a nice bit of rural lincolnshire as light just starts to fade,it makes the colour look really deep....... :thumbsup:
 
Wow, some great pictures popping up here.

I especially like Senwar, JayT, Sixspeed, Easty027, Mystik and Sammyz's. Must be a colour thing as they all have some interesting colourings going on.

And i LOVE this one of my Ibiza Cupra - just after decending from the GrossGlockner Hochalpenstrasse (Background) in Austria/Italy border. I found a great big puddle :P

I guess this one because of the angle and the fact that the back ground leaves the car as the highlight of the pic
